Our story
The Sycamore Drive location has been here since 1967 — long before most of today's Simi Valley grew up around it. In 1998, our family took over and turned it into something more than just an everyday service stop. We built a STAR-certified smog station, opened a soft-touch drive-thru car wash, and made it our mission to be the kind of neighborhood business people actually look forward to visiting.
Almost three decades later, we're still here. Same family. Same dedication. Same focus on doing right by every customer who pulls in.
What we do
We're a STAR Certified Smog Check station — meaning the State of California Bureau of Automotive Repair has certified us to perform their most rigorous, accountable smog inspections. We can test:
- All cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans
- Diesel vehicles (1998+, up to 14,000 lbs GVWR)
- Hybrid vehicles
- Out-of-state vehicles for first-time California registration
- CARB Clean Truck Check (HD I/M) for heavy-duty diesel and alternative fuel vehicles over 14,000 lbs
- DMV-directed STAR smog checks
We're a "Test Only" station — by design. That means we don't offer smog repairs, so we have zero financial incentive to flag your vehicle as failed. Our job is to give you an honest inspection. That's it.
Alongside the smog station, we operate a Soft Touch Plus drive-thru car wash that's open 24/7, every day of the year. Smog checks during regular business hours, car wash anytime. A simple two-services, one-stop visit.
That's how many vehicles we've inspected since 1998. Many of our customers have been coming for decades — and now their kids are bringing their cars in too.

You'll find us at 2405 Sycamore Dr, off the 118 freeway in Simi Valley. The property has been a service station since 1967 — making it one of the longest-running businesses on Sycamore Drive. Our family took it over in 1998 and we've been here ever since.
The location is convenient for residents of Simi Valley, Moorpark, Thousand Oaks, Chatsworth, Northridge, and surrounding areas. We get plenty of out-of-area customers because the wait is short and the service is honest.
